SCSEP provides paid work experience at non-profit and
governmental agencies to low-income individuals age 55 plus.
Our program participants find experience and success working
part-time at any one of our host agencies all over the state.

We have operated job fairs in Cleveland and Akron.
The benefits are good publicity, recruitment for our programs,
and development of new partnerships with employers.
Funded by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
The Job Club is an intensive job seeking course covering such
topics as: goal setting, resume development, interviewing,
networking, cold calling and targeting unadvertised jobs.
The job club service is followed up with individual
employment counseling and case management.

We also offer a Customer Service Training Program
that gives individuals training in the various aspects of
effective phone communication and customer service.
This training will prepare participants for a career in
telemarketing and can be applied equally well to
any position where a person works with the public. |
