 University of Akron Team Won for Mature Services!
The competition was tough, but The University of Akron (UA) Nutrition Team won for Mature Services as part of the University's Pay It Forward Project. They created a nutrition-focused project/presentation for our organization and were selected by a panel of three community leaders as the best. Thanks to the team, we will receive $2,500 to purchase a commercial freezer and promotional materials for our expanding home delivered meals program. This will benefit our program for 15 years, which has doubled since October with 5 new clients per week.

We are proud to announce that Catherine Lewis-Beaverly, the
Manager of the Nutrition Program and Festive Food Catering,
is a licensed ServSafe® Instructor. ServSafe® is a food safety
training and certificate program administered by the National
Restaurant Association. In the future, we plan to offer training
classes to those seeking certification. To receive updates on
