Today, more than ever, it is important to hire the right person and get a good match. That’s why the Senior Employment Center invites employers to become involved in our program, to ensure that we are providing our people with the skills you need.

Employers are always welcome to call or stop into our offices and get acquainted with the services we can provide. For us it’s a chance to get to know you and the demands you, as an employer, are encountering in filling an opening.  This helps us tailor our training assignments so that once our mature workers complete those assignments they are fully job ready for today’s marketplace.

When you are ready to consider hiring, give us a call and we can explain how our Employer Based Training program works.  It give you a chance to get the best employee for the job, and while you are training them in your practices, we will underwrite the wages and benefits.

Why not consider joining us for our open house on April 14th @ 2:00 pm until 5:00.  Just give us a call to let us know you are planning to attend.

Feeling limited by the candidates you see?

Although unemployment  figures are high in our local economy, the Senior Employment Center is  working hard to help assist in updating skills and finding jobs for our participants.   We have had six  seniors who have found unsubsidized employment since  the first of the year. Although these jobs  do not compare to  loss of employment through larger companies, they still  provide a stable source of income.

Because of our loss of D.H.L  in Clinton county, we have had a lot of qualified  applicants sign up for our program and they are seriously seeking employment. Some of our participants do not need  benefits and are willing to work part time, which would benefit the employer, while others are  searching for full time positions.

Jobs are the key to be able to live in this world and  assisting our participant to reach this goal  is on the  top of our priority list.

Check out our job ready participants.
