Under the direct supervision of the Project Director or assigned Area Supervisor, the Training Specialist coordinates and provides on‐site training for program participants to supplement Host Agency training, and conducts training on basic computer instruction and job seeking skills, including resume development, cold calling, and finding the hidden job market. This position develops training partnerships with local academic institutions, and facilitates customized training through Employer Based Training (EBT) assignments. The Training Specialist makes recommendations for training activities and develops curricula when appropriate, and conducts job search cooperatives for program participants and alumni to foster a motivating environment that teaches individuals how to market themselves.

QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of an Associate's Degree in business, education, social sciences or a related field is required; experience in training, job development, marketing and/or employment counseling preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
