The SCSEP program has lead to success for many people. Here's a testimonial from a former SCSEP member:
"I was a participant in the Mature Services program after being displaced from my previous position.
My entire department was disbanded and re-established in Mexico.
Mature services afforded me the opportunity to establish a new "home base", working for the Park Vista Nursing Home group in the Maintenance Department. During this period, Mature Services helped with basic needs such as interviewing techniques, job searches, and most importantly... confidence!. I am currently working at Thomas Steel in Warren, Ohio as a steel worker. This mainly involves the rewinding of large steel coils to look for and remove defects, tension changes for various steel treatment processes, and coil size reduction."

Teaching and Training in the Youngstown area
During our two-week Job Clubs, we like to have a speaker come in and give a presentation pertinent to mature job seekers.
Mahoning & Trumbull County participants learn about technology training from presenter Stephen Kristan, Director of External Affairs from AT&T.
"I wanted to take the time to tell you what a wonderful program this has been. You do a great service to those of us who are 'a little older' than the average worker. The work Julie, LaTasha and the office staff do for us is just fantastic! They work very hard for us and make a good team. They are positive and extremely helpful. I loved my time there and at my host agency."
Recently at a Job Club session in Trumbull County, Jason Roller (Culinary Recruiting & Training Specialist) from AVI Food Systems spoke to the group of job seekers about employment opportunities. While there, he accepted applications and resumes. We would like to thank him for taking time out of his busy schedule to come in and talk to the class.
