The Host Agency is the heart of SCSEP and is typically any 501 (c)(3) non-profit agency, community-based organization or government agency. By training at a Host Agency, older workers (participants) build the skills and behaviors needed to be successful in obtaining a job and keeping it. Also, work-training in a realistic job environment provides learning and feedback that will help participants be successful in the long-term.
Mature Services, Inc. operates SCSEP to provide
talented, hardworking people to our host agencies. Together, we can offer opportunities that improve the job readiness of mature workers while expanding their service to the community.
In 2013/2014, we partnered with 410 host agencies across the state and together these partnerships have logged a total of 640,774 service hours.
Sherry Trimmer, manager at the Browse & Buy shop in Tuscarawas County, has been partnering with us since 1999 and is pleased to see many of her SCSEP participants go on to unsubsidized employment after receiving training at her site.
