Mini Job Fair Gets Maximum Results
Mature Services’ Employment & Training Solutions held a successful Mini Job Fair on March 19th, where over 60 mature job seekers came to learn about current job openings and meet with local employers.
Employment & Training Solutions’ job fairs are different than most because they’re specifically catered to the 55 years old or over demographic. Employers who come are seeking older workers because these workers are experienced, loyal and hard working. If you’re a mature job seeker, this is the job fair for you!
Employers who attended the Mini Job Fair on March 19 represented a wide array of industries and many different job opportunities were available.
The seventeen employers present at the event included Canton Drop Forge, Cracker Barrel, Devoted Companions, Great Work, Hard Rock Rocksino, Hire Pro, Hope Homes, Independence of Portage County, Lowe’s, Mary Kay, Mature Services/Homecare, Mature Staffing, Millenia, Rymac Services, Simply EZ, Summit Advantage, Synchrony Financial, Universal Screen Arts and Viking Forge.
Cracker Barrel’s Gail Porkhiser said, “This is the first Mini Job Fair I've been to.” When asked why she decided to participate, Gail shared that she is interested in hiring mature workers because of the many positive qualities they bring to the table, including a strong work ethic and priceless experience.”
